I know OT recruiting looks a little dicey, but Hamm tried to commit twice and the coaches told him no. How do you think our coaches feel about the position if they told a guy (who then committed to another SEC team) no on 2 separate occasions? The only answer is they must feel pretty damn confident that they are going to get someone(s) higher on their board in the NEXT 9 FREAKING MONTHS.
Recruiting matters, rankings don't. Its as simple as that.
