I've said for a while that I'm happy with all of the top names, Freeze, Kiffin, Sanders, Lanning...who were floated around as HC candidates.
I loved Kiffin as a hire...but I also realize that Freeze is a damn good coach with a damn good resume. He's beaten Saban, He's beaten Kirby. He brought Five stars to Oxford..and folks saying he cheated...you don't think Alabama and Georgia offered $$$ to Treadwell, Tunsil, Nkemdiche, etc.?
He got Ole Miss to #1 in the AP Poll. He turned Malik Willis into an NFL draft pick. He took Liberty....Liberty...with his 4th string (?) QB to Fayetteville and beat the same Arky team that blasted Lane a few weeks later.
Other than him loving Hookers...hey..who doesnt?.....what exactly screams "abject failure" with that resume coming to Auburn and being given a massive boost in resources from his previous stops?
