I heard Cohen say this about the North End Renovation, but no renderings were shown on any actual details as to what they are looking to do. If anyone can add to what I heard Cohen say, please feel free to add more content. He said they have got to get a video board up in the north-end zone as soon as possible. They cannot tear out the existing endzone structure supporting the seats.
That would make me think they support this construction that would connect into the existing north endzone on all levels by putting in extensive concrete helps like we currently have on the east & west sides of the stadium & then seats can hang over & also add a seat to the top of existing end zone stands. Adding an extra area for seating could add more seat-back chairs in the endzone and other places in the stadium while still staying around the same overall capacity. You could extend the main concourse in the north endzone out into a vast food court to help alleviate concession congestion. GA has one in their end zone away from their video board. It would also help with the flow of people on the main concourse because you would add a lot of extra square footage when a vast food court would be put in the north end zone.
I think with all the room behind the north end zone and adding a 2nd large video board, which few stadiums can know or have done due to limitations of how stadiums are currently laid out. The only school in the SEC that comes to mind with a large video board in both end zones is KY.
