Ginger roux-
Cajun/Cantonese place. Bout to get off in some Dirty fried rice. Rate at about 7, really good entree for $24 rated about a 7
Doing brunch at French toast in the quarter. Menu is pretty killer. See how it holds up.....
...... Some of the best grits I've ever eaten. Aebleskiver with lemon curd were absolutely incredible. Bacon onion and gruyere crepe was fight yo ass good, too. Solid 7
Banh Mi Boys is absolutely killer. Loaded French fries and all the banh mi were incredible. If you are abandoned mi fan this should be a stop for you in nola. 7.5
Empanola is a great empanada spot on magazine. Picked some up and took them back to the apartment to reheat for later. 8
Barracuda tacos and tortillas is some of the best fish tacos I've ever had. Highly reccomend a Mangonada. Solid 8
Urban south brewery is a cool spot to check out if you are into local brews. Cool place with lots of vintage arcade games.
There's a 2 hour donut tour in Nola and 16 other cities. Check out donuttour.com for more info.
Went to pandoras for a snowball and it was by far the best I've ever had. Got the chocolate ice with condensed milk and it was heavenly. The ice is different than any shaved ice I've ever had. 8.5
Always hit up Butcher for a meal. Had a le pig Mac and they've added a @Jay G. Tate porchetta cheesesteak so I got one of those, too. Never had anything I didn't like there. Bought a bottle of sweet potato habanero hot sauce that is divine. Solid 9
Went on a meat market excursion. Took about 3 hours to make the loop from nola over to Kenner and back making all our stops and taking our time.
Visited lil Doug's in Kenner. House made everything.
Diorgnacs market is worth a stop for the bakery and sausage section. Positively killer.
Creole country sausage factory is super legit. There isn't a store so you call or order online and you swing by and pick it up. Diorgnacs carries the CCSF products as well so it saved me a call and another stop.
Joe Gambinos bakery is also over that way and is a must stop if you like baked goods.
Hope this helps on your next trip to nola.
