First, forgive me. I've been off the boards for forever. My wife was diagnosed with cancer a few months back and well keeping up with AU football dropped way down my priority list (will always keep my subscription going tho, bc @Jay G. Tate is the š and I've been around since HABOTN)
Now for some begging and pleading. @Mikecb22 texted me this morning with the news of Bo opening up a coffee shop in conjunction with the Graduate Hotel being built on Magnolia. LINK
As many of you know, coffee is my trade. I own a coffee company that started in Auburn. Building was sold and torn down so our lease was terminated, but we have shops in Montgomery, BHM and ATL.
Here is the crazy thing... The very first cup of coffee my company ever sold was on November 30, 2013 in the Anders Bookstore parking lot out of a VW Van that we had converted into a mobile coffee bar. A few of you may recognize the significance of the date and place. This was the date of the Kick Six Iron Bowl. It is also Bo Jackson's Birthday. The Graduate Hotel is being built on this exact site. On top of this, our coffee van featured an aerosol painting of Bo in iconic "ballplayer" pose (see my avatar), and to continue the coincidence, if you'll remember, Auburn put up exactly 34 pts on bammer that day.
Obviously, I'd really really really like to be Bo's coffee guy. Would literally be a dream come true. We also source the majority of our coffee from a farm owned by the family of Paulina Schippers a 2013 AU grad originally from Guatemala who was also an AU tennis player. It's a crazy good match.
I know there's got to be somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody connected with Bo and/or AJ Capital Partners/Graduate Hotel. If that's you... please help me get an intro. ššš
