At 55, this will be my first holidays alone. No family. None. Not worked since my widow maker in 2018 and two additional heart attacks. Buried my mom in April. I buried my best friend last year. Dad year before that and grandma in 2018. I lost my spouse in 2017. Year after year. So itās just me and an addict brother who Iāve not spoken to in months. Iām still having to wait two more months until I can finalize momās estate. I had to hire a lawyer yesterday to start the process of getting my brother off of my parents land since heās lived there free for the last five years. Its awful.
Iām telling you people that you need to be very thankful for everything that you have. Five years ago I was the vice president of my company and managed a portfolio of over 3400 apartments and this morning I lay in the bed and probably wonāt get up all day. Things changed quickly.
I am very thankful that I had wonderful parents and a super life and that God has blessed me throughout my life more than I deserve. I sure miss my mom. My parents were happily married 53 years.
