Moving to Auburn soon looking to make some new friends

My wife took a job with G.E. Aviation and we will be moving down soon.We will be looking to find a new church and make some new friends.Also you do not have to go to church to be my friend.Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.churches,things to get involved in and around the community.TIA
