I was one of the "it will get better next week" guys last week. I'm here to say...I was wrong and we have some serious issues right now. After each of the 1st and 2nd quarter I thought we would get it together and pull away. As we know we didn't.
It's obvious watching this team live we are not clicking on offense and we are still way below average w/o Lawson. Now with Matthews out we really have issues. Cass, Ford and Adams play hard but need help. We got beat on both sides of the ball in the trenches vs JSU. I think our depth finally wore their D-line down however plus Peyton Barber would not let us lose.
Gus has to find a way to be efficient with this offenses identity and I have no idea what that is. JJ's 2 picks were two of the worst you will ever see. Sitting in the stands and seeing the field a good QB does not throw those ball to those spots. I'm really not sure what the hell he was looking at.
All this being said!! I believe in this team and what we have. Roster is full of talent. We have time to correct it but it starts by beating the corndogs. No sense of sitting on here trying to analysis it just better hope our coaches we believe in get it fixed this week.
