That’s true on here, Twitter and in real life. Both sides can’t believe the other candidate will win. I’ll give my arguments for Harris here and I admit it may just all be because I can’t even entertain Trump winning. It reminds me of our natty game vs Oregon. My brain wouldn’t let me entertain the idea of losing. Why she wins;
1) Trump’s past; 1/6, felon, rapist, Covid handling, etc. His closing in the last 10 days has been historically bad. Also, they chose to spend more money on the transgender issue than the economy. He couldn’t stay on message. Economy (inflation mostly) and immigration.
2)!Abortion: I don’t think you can strip away that right and just have a bad midterms after numerous abortion bans across the nation.
3) Trump’s Campaign /Trump’s mouth: His closing in the last 10 days has been historically bad. From the joke on PR to Cheney being shot. He couldn’t even take advantage of the jobs report due to the latter. Also, they chose to spend more money on the transgender issue than the economy. He couldn’t stay on message. Inflation and immigration should have been on everything. She has mostly closed the gap on the issue of the economy in most polls.
4) Ground game (Part of campaign): The Harris ground game has been way better and bigger. Musk was put in charge and you can’t outsource your ground game.
Can trump win? Of course. He could win 6 states just like she can. I just don’t think this country wants the chaos he brings but let’s face it, there has never been a woman president for a reason. There has only been one black person be president for a reason. When Obama won, Dems owned the union vote which helped with uneducated white males.
I think the story will be a huge turnout by young people and of course women. Both will overwhelmingly vote for her.
