1. Caddy getting his win, the emotions and the love for AU, how he’s been able to bring these kids spirit up after an awful season under the potato is nothing short of spectacular. It was ugly but these kids play so hard for Caddy and the passion and energy is all over the field now.
2. The SECN absolutely loved on some AU last night, tons of spotlight on us from interviewing old players with Caddy to the post game interview with Caddy(if you missed that m, do yourself a favor and go watch it) just amazing.
3. Yes TAMU was missing a ton of players, yes it was an ugly game and yes our offense looked pretty awful at times.
4. The run game scheme was overall excellent I thought. Lots of big runs. Props to the OL and the RBs for getting numerous chunk runs.
5. The defense busted their asses and played overall very well. The DL over run the play a few times allowing the QB to get easy runs and we have up a few bad 3rd and longs but overall a great performance by the D.
6. I love the win but Ashford better not be our QB next season. He’s just not good and he pouts literally every play that doesn’t go for a big gain. Passing game has to be better. We have some young studs and recruiting more studs we will need to sell an improved passing attack, hopefully with a portal QB
7. The atmosphere looked amazing from the TV. I almost felt like I was there on my 72” while sipping bourbon on my back deck. Just excellent.
8. Can’t say enough about how much Caddy has energized these guys. Is he ready to be AUs next full time coach? I’m leaning no just because he’s never even been a coordinator yet but I think it’s vital we find a way to keep him on staff. If we were to miss on Lane, Prime, Lanning and Hugh then give me Caddy over anyone else and shell out some money for two Stud OCs.
