Dems couldn't have asked for a better outcome on the impeachment. They got the most bipartisan impeachment and trial vote in history. 7 Republicans voting to convict was more than enough to destroy any narrative that this was a partisan issue. Even better, Dems get to run against most Republicans in 2022 based on their refusal to hold Trump accountable for his crimes. McConnell's vote was the best of the bunch as he refused to convict, and then gave a speech about how Trump was guilty as charged and called for him to be criminally prosecuted while mocking all of the cult members who bought into Trump's voter fraud conspiracies. You honestly have to feel bad for the cult members who were gullible enough to fall for all of this now that they are being eviscerated by so many leaders on their team.
