I can’t remember specifics of the game but I kept thinking this past Saturday felt a lot like the 2017 Clemson game…
Stidham was 13-24 for just 79 yards and was sacked at least 5 or 6 times. We only scored 6 and looked absolutely terrible on offense.
Next week he followed it up going 20-32 for 146 and just 1 touchdown. We beat Mercer at home by just 14.
That team turned out to be pretty damn good and our offense started rolling after a few more games. Not saying this team will be anything close to that but Stidham had an excellent season that year but started out so-so. With Thorne it seems like it might be between the ears and things need to slow down for him. Maybe another game or 2 at home can get him there. Might be way off base thinking that but shit it could happen. I’ve watched some of his tape from MSU and he definitely has it in him. Just need to figure out how to get him out of this funk.
