We hired the contractor from hell last year to renovate 3 full bathrooms in our Auburn home close to campus. Fired this bammer (my fault I knew he was a bammer but he was referred to us and promised the world). After firing this stooge, we hired an AUsome tile contractor (Patrick Freeman) who took over and beautifully completed the work.
In an effort to avoid hiring another inept and dishonest contractor, I wanted to reach out to my Bunker Brethren to see if any of you guys/gals are contractors or have family/friends you trust enough to use in your home and/or refer to friends/family.
We’re looking for solid reliable contractors to complete the following:
* Painter to paint the exterior only (including painting red brick white and white shutters Navy).
* Looking to replace all windows (18-20 windows).
* Need a framer to remove a few interior walls (and place supporting beams) to combine family room and sun-room and reconfigure our kitchen removing a kitchen wall.
Does anybody have a trusted contractor they could recommend for any of these improvements in Auburn? If so... I'd love to speak with them as soon as possible.
By the way... the pic above is of the aforementioned sun-room (we plan to replace all the flooring as well). Yep that Lunging Auburn Tiger graced Jordan Hare Stadium’s north end zone scoreboard for better than a decade. I have one of the larger Tigers from the South End Zone as well (significantly larger)... may consider a trade for some of the work.
