Bryan Harsin takes the podium for the first time at SEC Media Days.

Follow along with this live blog of everything he says:

* Harsin says he's never had so many people text and email him good luck than this week.

* Competition at every position for fall camp. Says Bo Nix and Owen Pappoe has done a great job at leading the football team and sharing the message of what they are trying to accomplish.

* Harsin credits the SEC with leading the way in getting a football season played last year. "The SEC has it figured out."

* Says he has learned how awesome the community and the university really is over the past seven months. "My family, the Auburn community, I can't thank them enough. My daughters, my son love living in Auburn."

* In order for us to be elite at our jobs, we have to know our family is being taken care of.

* Focus right now is finishing up the rest of the summer workouts. Running the stairs in the upper deck of J-H.

* Fall camp begins August 5th!

* Split practice the 2nd day of fall camp between the new guys and the old guys.

* Harsin says the 15 spring practices were valuable, especially in installing a new system.

* No positives the last 5 months in COVID testing for the roster.

* "I think we are in the 60% range" for vaccinations, Harsin says. Letting players make individual decisions.

* "Man, there is a lot to learn." Harsin speaking on the NIL. Pretty much follows what every coach has said. "It comes back to your team. How the guys treat each other in the locker room." Recognizing that not everyone will get the same deals.

* "I think it is an awesome opportunity for guys to make some money." Harsin says they are teaching the players about taxes.

* Says players have to figure out how much time they can donate to the NIL but still be elite on the field.

* Focus is on Akron on Sept. 4th. "You have to win the first one."

* Harsin is excited about Tiger Walk. Says he has experienced the craziness that is Jordan-Hare on the opposite side.

* Harsin says he and Gus Malzahn have a relationship. Read Gus' book. Went to visit him in Tulsa with Chris Petersen. They installed some of his no-huddle offense at Boise.

* On the pressure cooker at Auburn - "For me as a coach and a competitor, I want to win. All the things that go into that, it doesn't matter if I'm at Capital High School or at Auburn, it all matters. The importance of it and what surrounds it is definitely different."

"I know the microscope is a lot different at Auburn. That's why you want to come to Auburn and the SEC."

* Malzahn took the two 15-yard penalties against Arkansas State for wearing its gray jerseys, changing his mind after okaying them.

* "I bleed blue. Always will." Harsin on his history at Boise State.

* Harsin is definitely winning the award for longest answers to one question.

* "We have to do a great job at connecting with the players." Says COVID hasn't helped. "Letting our players know we are here for you and getting to know their expectations."

* Harsin wants fans to see a disciplined, determined and confident team.

* "I wanted to see why guys showed up late. I wanted to see why guys didn't finish. Maybe they don't know or don't care."

Harsin ends with "War Eagle!" Pretty sure there were only 3 questions asked as he answered them thoroughly.
