Was in Birmingham over the weekend and ran into this kid who appears to be very close to the Wiley's.
I asked him if Wiley was coming to Auburn. At first he said No. He said he is waiting on offers from Kentucky and Duke. Evidently those are the only 2 schools who have not offered him.
Then, as we starting talking more, he said He could see Wiley going to Auburn with Buck Johnson's kid, who also plays at Spain Park. I was shocked that Johnson would even consider us since he's an Alabama legacy. This kid said that Johnson loved Auburn and he could see the two kids going somewhere to play together. Said they both loved Bruce.
Said Wiley was very upset that the Spain Park coach was fired. Evidently Wiley was at home and found out by text message that the coach was let go.
Asked him about Wiley missing some games, especially the Vestavia game that ended their season. Kid said Wiley had a massive stomach bug and there was No way that he could play that game.
Kid I met was as nice as he could be. He said Wiley was a great kid and evidently Momma Wiley makes sure he stays that way. Said Wiley don't ever brag or nothing about all the accolades he receives.
