This is just the opinion of a former player at a small school, but I've watched a lot of basketball just like many others here. I am NOT claiming to be a coaching genius or know-it-all like some on this board may try to be. With that being said...

Holloway has to start trying to impact the game in other ways than behind the arc. He's not shooting well right now, and he's not looking to really go anywhere with his dribble. He has the length to be able to compete for shots at the rim, but he's got to be willing to get there. Also, my personal opinion of why his shot from behind the arc is off is for two reasons: 1) his in-game confidence is non-existent, and 2) he is taking shots falling away or leaning.

I'd like to see Holloway get involved more in the drive and dish game. Tre did an excellent job last night of penetrating, reading what the defense was giving him, and making the right decisions. Tre became a scoring threat, albeit a mild one, and was once again very productive as a primary ball handler. I think Holloway needs to follow suit and begin to try to get to the rim and the line more than he does currently. Hopefully that helps his confidence as he starts to see the ball go through more often. The leaning just seems to be a bad habit that he needs to be cognizant of and try to correct by going straight up. I think I've seen it said here that it may be his MO, but I don't think it helps him.
