We are playing for more hardware, for another banner in the rafters. We are climbing out of the Have-Not lists and into the Haves with every Reg Season and Conf Tourney championship.
The very idea that playing 3 games and then getting a FULL FVCKING WEEK OF REST (counting the gimme against a #16 seed) will hurt us is absurd. These are 22yos in peak condition.
I don't GAS that we lost last year after winning the SECT. One had nothing to do with the other. We weren't good enough to win it all last year anyway, we cut down nets in Nashville, and Im happy I saw it. I don't GAS that bammer lost early in Nashville and went to the F4 - again, nothing to do with each other.
But if you Do think that way, your dumb ass should know that the ONLY time AUBURN has advanced deep in the NCAAT is AFTER we had just won the SECT. So, clearly, for AUBURN, being HOT is what matters (and me attending the SECT, I bought my own ticket with my first job and played hookie from HS with a buddy in '85) and getting HOT means WINNING THE SECT
