Well howdy neighbors! Work commitments required a game day edition of Leonard’s Losers this week. The Little Smart Pill Machine was as smart as ever last week going 16-2. The season record now stands at 51-18. This week’s slate ain’t got much marquee value, but there are several tightly matched contests. This Smart Pills better be extra potent this week, so on to the Losers.
Southern Mississippi at Auburn:
Jay Hopson and his flock from Hattiesburg will cross the border for an afternoon engagement with the Tigers of Auburn. The high flying golden eagle offense from the Magnolia State has been hotter than a jalapeno's coochie, and the feline defensive staff had better be on their toes this evening. The Tiger offense was still suffering a little nausea from an LSU hangover last week, and the offensive game plan made about as much sense as a rear end with taste buds. Fortunately for Gus Malzahn, his defense and special teams had a full appetite and ate everything on the pigs from the rooter to the tooter. Look for the War Eagle offense to show signs of a pulse this week, and go talon to talon with the fowl from Southern Mississippi.
