Picked up this guy from the warehouse of an arcade operator up in Smyrna, TN earlier this year:
Got a pretty good deal on it; it was working, but beat-up. Good bit of water damage on the bottom that needed to be repaired, otherwise it would have continued to flake apart:
For a quick-and-dirty restoration job, I thought it turned out pretty well. It's running off a modern FPGA card that can very accurately play multiple games, so I also built a new control panel to account for all of them (besides, the old one was trashed and held together with black duct tape):
Took its place in the basement lineup:
... and yes, fellow 80's arcade rats: Defender is still hard as hell to play.
