I go to McD every morning 365. Same location.
I order only a Egg McMuffin (85%) or sausage burritos (15%) every day of my life.
Ordered the sausage burrito this morning and got only 1 in the bag.
1. I’ve ordered this a thousand times over past 30 years and I always get 2.
2. On their menu screen it shows 2.
So I backup to the window and tell a brand new employee (young good looking blonde hair kid) that I only got 1.
He says, “That’s all that you ordered “.
I said, “Every order comes with 2”.
He says, “No they don’t “.
I said “Well for 20 years they have “.
He tells me again,”You are wrong “.
He pissed me off with his attitude and smirkiness so I threw my burrito still wrapped) through the window.
I drive around to the pay window and the guy there tells me I only ordered 1.
He says if you order 2 that is the “combo”.
I ask what comes with the combo and he says 2 burritos and hash browns.
At this point I am seriously considering whether I might be in the “Matrix “ because I have never heard of any of this.
I have gotten 2 burritos every time for 20 years but never any hash browns.
My only proof is on their breakfast screen menu (plus my 20 years of memory) but they don’t control the screen and by now the lunch menu is up.
I am now eating breakfast and considering whether I have lost my frickin’ mind.
Then it occurs to me…….
If I have lost my mind maybe Auburn didn’t get beat by USC this past weekend and maybe we have a chance in the IB ?
For all of you perfect people out there.
I didn’t throw the burrito at the kid as he was standing a good way to the side.
I am not proud of throwing the burrito but this kid was brand new but acted like he knew everything and basically turned it around and said I had screwed up the order.
All I wanted was another burrito and would have been happy to pay for it.
I am fully aware of the employee problems fast food chains are having but I guess what set me off besides the attitude was that every time I had ordered this for the past 20+ years they were telling me it didn’t happen like I said.
I swear it felt like I was in the Matrix.
