Anybody read this book, or anything else by John Ferling? He seems to have written a solid series of books focused on the times of our founding fathers. I've taken more interest lately in reading more about early American politics--from the Revolution up to the Civil War. Trying to set aside my contemporary biases, and take a deeper dive into the motivations and stories of those who shaped our nation. I've long known that Jefferson and Hamilton had different visions of what America should be, but never realized just how deep and bitterly opposed they were.
I don't much about the author, but my impression, at this point, is that he was fair in his appraisal of both Jefferson and Hamilton. Looking for suggestions of other authors who have provided fair assessments of that period in American history.
