I hope Auburn fans will enjoy my story on James Owens. I've been writing a series of stories on trues pioneers in college football integration not receiving their proper credit. A lot of those misconceptions have to do with myths about Bear Bryant and the 1970 USC-Alabama game shoving the pioneers that paid the price into a corner.

I enjoyed talked to some devoted Auburn people for this story.
