Press release...

The Auburn University Board of Trustees today awarded initial approval of the Jordan-Hare Stadium north end zone multi-use facility project, as proposed by the Athletics department and University administration.

The vote grants approval of project initiation and authorizes the commencement of architect selection to move the project forward into formal design.

This transformative project aims to enhance the overall Auburn fan experience by providing modernized amenities. The addition will combine premium seating, concessions and stadium support facilities, along with versatile conference event spaces, retail venues, student activity spaces, meeting rooms, as well as future shell space.

Robin and Reid Dove (‘94) donated a leadership gift in support of the project’s commencement. This generous gift is the largest single capital donation in Auburn Athletics history and will provide a springboard to bring the project to fruition. The Doves’ children, Anna Reid (’21/’22) and Hal (’23/’24), are both graduates with bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Auburn.

“We are profoundly grateful to Robin and Reid for their generosity, leadership and commitment to Auburn,” Athletics Director John Cohen said. “Their transformational gift represents an investment that will yield generational returns. The Doves’ dedication to Auburn serves as an example to all who believe in Auburn and love it.”

Auburn President Christopher B. Roberts echoed Cohen’s appreciation for the Dove family.

“I continue to be amazed by the commitment and generosity of the Auburn Family in helping to advance our university,” Roberts said. “The Dove family gift is a crucial catalyst in helping to commence the north end zone project. Their visionary support will assist in facilitating the opening of Jordan-Hare Stadium to additional students and campus activities during the week as well as Auburn football fans on gamedays.”

As design work begins in earnest, the Tigers Unlimited Foundation will simultaneously launch fundraising efforts to support this transformative project to modernize Jordan-Hare Stadium and enhance the fan experience for the next generation of Auburn fans.

“As President Roberts says, Auburn has earned the right to dream the biggest dreams. Elevating Jordan-Hare Stadium by modernizing the north end zone has been a big dream among Auburn people for decades,” Cohen said. “Thanks to the Board of Trustees’ initial approval and the Doves’ pace-setting gift, that dream is now in the process of becoming a reality. This project provides an exceptional opportunity to move Auburn forward.”
