I've been watching football for 30 years. I don't think I've ever seen a game quite like that.

It was one of the best Iron Bowls of my lifetime and arguably game of the year in the SEC. Maybe nationally.

Very proud of our kids for the effort. Though disappointed with the result, the amount of resolve and courage displayed tonight by many, many players was something I'll always remember. Credit them for making this jaded old bastard smile, even after a loss.

Also credit to the staff for having the kids ready to play. They were severely outmatched and found a way, again and again, to remain competitive and have a chance to win.

I know that there will be other teams that come through Auburn that are more talented than this one. I know there will inevitably be other teams that aren't as talented. Regardless, the heart shown tonight against a tremendous amount of adversity should be something that every Auburn team strives to achieve.
