regarding this team, these players, these coaches, and this program.

Last night was a horrendous performance....absolutely. It's a bigger kick in the nuts realizing that, unlike 2019, you didn't have a gauntlet of blue bloods standing in your way to New Orleans.

We've been saying for a while now that our backcourt was inconsistent, and our SF spot was offensively inept for most of the year. Luckily we had 2 All American talents in our starting five and they both happened to have the worst games of their AU careers on the same night in March. It sucks and it sucks that those will be the last performances that Jabari/Kessler have in an Auburn uniform (most likely). It all sucks.

But also realize that this program had a losing record last year and Bruce hit the transfer portal and had an entirely new starting five that went 28-6 and won an SEC Championship. Trying to dismiss 28 wins in 34 games as a fluke, or mirage, etc. is ****ing lunacy.

Roster wise....we need shooters. Lots of shooters. If our philosophy is to shoot lots and lots of threes and play fast paced...you better have shooters. We have one who is consistent..and he's going to the NBA. We have players on this roster that are great kids, work hard, but give us nothing offensively and haven't for most of their careers. Bruce and his staff know this as much as we do. But at the same time....folks wanting to have the entire team transfer are nuts. Wendell and KD have all the opportunity in the world to improve and become big time consistent players for us. People forget the massive transformation Bryce Brown made from his first 2 seasons to his last 2. We need more offensive talent plugged in and more that matches what Bruce wants to do. Bruce knows this. Bruce will go get it.

But all that being said...this was a championship year and the Auburn basketball program now has 3 banners hanging in Auburn Arena that it didn't have even 5 years ago. Losing sucks but it doesn't suck as much as ALWAYS losing, which is what we did before Bruce. Applaud these kids for their accomplishments, trust in Bruce and his process of continuing to build a consistently upper echelon program...and stay the hell off of twitter.
