that Gus leads everyone (fans, media, other team etc.) that Lawson is playing and seems like a disadvantage to us that the other team is preparing for Lawson and when they know Kennion/Holland is playing...they are mentally ready for anything. Just seems like you would only say "day to day" to get the other team thinking or playing mind games to prepare for everything just to spend less time on Lawson...not the other way around.
