Is the sensory overload at Wal-Mart an intentional thing?

There’s a country song from the 90’s playing over the intercom. Some kid with no shoes (but socks) is “skating” back and forth in the wine aisle. Another kid did the “autist” screech (reeeeeeee). A very obese woman is yelling at her kids “you caint have em tater chips you can have em suckers but you can’t have em tater chips” while she cruises along slowly in her Fatty Wagon.

I don’t have this experience when I go to Publix or Piggly Wiggly. They’re generally peaceful experiences and people are mostly polite and well behaved.

Why is this, bros?
