Iron Maiden drummer Nicko Mcbrain announced that he is stepping away from the drumkit after one final show in Sao Paulo, Brazil tonight. He is 72-years old and has been touring with the band for 42 years. He suffered a minor stroke about a year ago that left him partially paralized, but he fought through it and was able to return and has been touring with the band extensively up until this announcement. It really sucks to be at the age where a lot of my music heroes are fighting time and age, so my advice is go see them while you still can because they won't be out there forever:
