Booked a few months ago with no idea the draft was here at the time. Really cool atmosphere. NFL did a good thing going city to city instead of just hanging in NYC.
Saw a group of people with “The road to the NFL” shirts on and one of the pics had the guy in an AU jersey. It was Malik’s family. They still got love for AU but the words out of one of the ladies mouth was “War Damn Eagle, but they had their chance”. All said they still have mad love for AU tho.
Came back to Mandalay and a looper we know was playing at HOB so we sat down at a table next to a large family. My man Phil knows I want to here him do Gin and Juice so he does it and the table looks at me and gives me the “you a cool old white dude” look and we all sang along. It was Devin Lloyd’s (20th? pick out of Utah) family, they were very cool and classy.
Great time this week as I also got to see my very first live hockey game. Coming home tomorrow.
