Harsin is done.
Nothing has necessarily changed. He came home from Mexico. The university is conducting some sort of investigation into some of the allegations regarding him. These things take time. Auburn is trying to avoid paying him a dime more than is needed.
My only concern at this time is the path to a new coach. Freeze seemed like a obvious and at one time, uniting selection… that doesn’t necessarily seem to be the case at the moment.
The arbitrary deadline of the coaches meeting was convenient for us.. the real deadline is wrapping up the official investigation.
This is a classic JABA situation of “do you want it done, or do you want it done right.”
Auburn tends to split the difference. Harsin will not be coaching Auburn this fall.. he just might survive another 2-14 days though.
