We dropped our German Shepherd off at the vet yesterday to board for the weekend. We are having a Halloween party Saturday. A lot of new people stress her out. We didn't tell our kids we were boarding her.
The kids got home from school yesterday and were looking for Kelly. I told them that she was hit by a car and died. I told them it was so bad that they couldn't see Kelly's body. They cried and cried.
I told them they had to go dig a hole to bury her in. It took them a while to dig it and they cried the whole time. When they finished I made them go inside the house, I retrieved a garbage bag and pretended her body was in it. I threw it in the hole and buried the bag.
They were very upset last night and this morning.
I can't wait to see their faces Sunday after I pick Kelly up from the vet. I am going to tell them she came back from the dead like Pet Cemetery.
