we are cutting down nets. the broome injury sort of busted the starting lineup of broome, cardwell, kelly, jones, and cbm that was just steamrolling folks.
defensively that squad was just pure hell. big gourds on the outside that would channel other teams into certain death at the hands of cardwell or broome inside. since his injury, broome has been more cautious defensively and i think cardwell has struggled to regain his early season defensive prowess. we need both back and although broome being able to drop 20 and 10 helps, cardwell HAS to be more effective defensively and on the glass with limited offensive production.
we also need good cheney back. he changes the game when he is able to hit from 2, 12 and 20. defensively he’s got to stay out of foul trouble too.
cbm obviously just needs to keep his head.
denver and haad putting up 10-12 is a must as is having deadeye kelly.
if this team finds the fire it was playing with at points during the UT game, the same thing it was playing with game after game in winning the sec with two games left…. it’ll cut down nets.
