Sometimes he lets things go too far. It’s frustrating but that’s his thing - he really tries to let the players be themselves. He trusts them to a fault often. But what he gets from that is their respect and trust as well, I hope.

That was my first time in Rupp. It’s massive. The whole scene yesterday showed the scale of just how big the NCAAT is and will become if we continue to advance. I know we have a bunch of experienced bball players but this season has been a roller coaster of different levels of sustained pressure from being at the top. I just imagine it takes a toll and I bet at sometimes the players forget that basketball is fun. They probably get wrapped up in the expectations and forget their gratitude.

Pressure is all over this team. We don’t have a floor general that’s battle tested at the PG spot. And now we have seemingly appropriate public chastising of your 2 top players after round one. Seems like they need someone they love and respect to reset and reunite. And this is probably where BP is strongest. Seeing the big picture, having empathy and faith, communicating on a simple level what they need to hear - BP seems like the right man for this job,
