My youngest daughter, son in law and their 5 children live in Auburn. Their oldest son had Covid about a year ago. It was a very mild case. This last week two of their children came home from a church camp and they both have Covid. One is ok now. The other one had problems for a week. Every time someone gets covid it starts a new at least 10 day quarantine. My son in law can not go back to work until quarantine period is over. He now has covid. Two days later my daughter has covid. Their oldest goes to Auburn and lives in a trailer they own. The next oldest will be a freshman at Auburn this Fall and went to live with his brother while his family has covid. The youngest child does not have it yet. Of course I hope they all have mild cases. I also know some people with mild cases later develop long haul symptoms.
They will not get the vaccine. As a father and grandfather this is difficult for me to understand. Just be aware this new variant is a big problem and do what you can to protect your family. I'm making no suggestions about what anyone should do.
