This is coming from a card carrying lib. I think the government should have a thriving safety net for people struggling. Even with the understanding that some will take advantage. I remember the promise by the MIC to reduce military spending from 4 billion in half after the Cold War ended. I honestly think people on the left believe you can increase federal spending in all of these areas without raising taxes on the middle class. They believe taxes should be raised on the upper class but don’t understand that doing so will stagnate the economy. I just think people on the left struggle with political economics.
