When I awoke this morning I discovered my family had no cell service or internet. After a few hours I started to become suspicious that the lack of service was a result of some sort of attack that was the beginning of WW3.

I did a quick ammo, food, and water inventory at my home. The results worried me. Plenty of water but I felt I was low on ammo and food in the deep freeze and pantry.

I needed a way to provide food for my family without depleting any of my precious ammo. I dug a couple of pits in my yard and filled them with wooden stakes. I covered those pits with branches and leaves in hopes of a deer or some shit like that falling in to the holes to their death. I also made a lot of snares from piano wire and set them in the woods around my home.

Luckily my phone and internet came back up so all is well except for the fact my wife called me and said she saw her sister's (my neighbor) dog fall into one of the pits. She said it whined for a while but it's cries are now silent.

When I get home from work I'll check on it. If the dog didn't live I'll Def need recs on the best way to prepare it for the deep freeze.
