I know this is folly, but can we stop with the "Rino" thing?

We all agree that "Rino" means "republican in name only." It used to mean "liberal" republicans who were in favor of increased spending without a plan to pay for that spending, Whereas actual Republicans were focused on the bottom line - - i.e., making sure that the country had enough tax revenue to pay for it commitments. And ending slavery. But mainly pragmatic people who knew that government was a tool, but not the answer, to solving all of life's problems.

Now, "Rino" has morphed into meaning anyone who is not a Trump loyalist. Which is weird because Trump, for most of his life, has self-identified as a democrat. And, as a businessman, has had his entities file for bankruptcy at least 4 times, which is further proof that he does not adhere to traditional Republican philosophy.

If you love Trump, then call yourself a "Trumpist." But stop misusing the term "Rino" because it doesn't mean what you think it means. Stated differently, on his best day, Trump marginally qualified as a Rino Republican. In reality, he is a marginally successful real estate developer (although had he simply invested the money his dad have given he'd be worth far more). But what he definitely is not is a Republican.
