I thought today’s press conference was Hugh’s best press conference of the year.
He was open, transparent, and you could tell he was hurting not only for himself, the fans, and all Auburn people but for the players, especially DJ and Koy.
I don’t know how that will translate to next year or the future or how long he will be at Auburn…but i respected and appreciated what I saw & heard today.
We’ve had a few head coaches in my lifetime that would have repeated trite and worn expressions and answered fewer questions and would have been openly disinterested in answering any pointed or tough questions.
What we got today was so much better than coachspeak.
