today’s win is Auburn’s 32nd win of the season…the most wins in a season by any basketball team in the state of Alabama, including Alabama’s 31-win season in 2023.
32-5 is a very strong season in college basketball….but to do it this year against the schedule we played is remarkable.
We have witnessed and are witnessing something we may never see again Auburn folks….especially if Bruce and this group of men (no longer boys) win 2 more games,
Note: I believe today’s win is also Auburn’s 19th Quad 1 win…this has been a historic season in so many ways. Let’s appreciate it even when we get frustrated with free throw shooting and other things we dislike when seeking the perfection all fans seek.
Another Note: just saw this, maybe it’s already been talked about here…Broome’s 25 points, 14 rebounds and 77% shooting percentage today makes him the first player in 50 YEARS to score 25 points, grab at least 10+ rebounds, and shoot at least 75%+ in an ELITE EIGHT game…
The player that did it in 1984 was Hakeem Olajuwon.
All of us….are lucky to be alive during this season.
