I haven’t read the story it was based on, but I probably watch the movie every couple of years because it’s amazing science fiction.
The pre crime program works almost flawlessly, until it is proven it can be beat. And even if it can be beat once, the philosophical questions/concerns etc, coupled with (dare I say imprisonment of precogs) makes govt realize the program is inhuman…even if it was achieving massive results.
If a pre crime program could exist, would you be for it?
In this instance, the ethical and philosophical (and even metaphysical) concerns out way the results in the end…
Why is it in science fiction utopia never works?
