We are set to speak with Hugh Freeze momentarily following Auburn's 27-13 victory over Mississippi State.

Follow along for all updates.

*** Obviously a great day to win our first SEC game here. Military Appreciate day, always awesome to honor them.

*** Our kids and our staff continue to work and I think we saw some signs today of us getting better.

*** "You never want to say it, but it had a feeling of a critical game."

*** On Payton Thorne and sticking to one: "It was time for someone to put up or shut up. He just started hot and I felt good about our plan. We had a little plan for Robby, too. I thought Payton played pretty well."

*** Mentions MSU made some adjustments at halftime. Auburn was trying to milk the clock a little bit. Mentions having a lineman down field on the first down catch "We can't do that."

*** On passing on early downs: "We're working on it. We have gotten a little better. This team loads the box so it's difficult to not throw it."

*** On wide receivers: "That's the group that I am most excited for to see them have success."

*** On 11 different guys catching in first half: "Yeah, when I went in Sunday and our last drive against Ole Miss, I decided this is what we are going to do."

*** Cadillac gave a pregame talk. "I thought his message was well received from them."

*** On holding MSU to 13 plays: "Truthfully we gave up too many explosive plays, but I thought we did a good job of keeping them out of the end zone."

*** Hugh thinks the critical part of the game was stopping them on 4th down before half and driving down the field for a TD.

*** On Jarquez: "He just works. He runs 100 miles per hour. I thought we had a really good plan against their stuff in the first half. We made a little adjustment on the last two."

*** On Connor Lew's first start: "I think he had to play solid (without seeing the film.) He's going to be a really good player."

*** On getting first SEC win and it garnering momentum: "You would hope it would give us confidence and a little swagger to go play on the road."

*** On being more aggressive in second half: "Correct me if I'm wrong but I think we had one possession in the third quarter. We were backed up in the fourth so we couldn't really be aggressive there."

*** On Alex McPherson: "I'm always thinking of what yard line can we get to to get points."

*** On Ron Roberts: "I think for our lack of depth, they have done a marvelous job, staff and kids."

That's it for Hugh. Enjoy your Saturday night.
