We are set to speak with Hugh Freeze as Auburn prepares to host Ole Miss on Saturday night in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

*** Hugh wishes Shelley Poe a happy birthday.
*** Obviously we would like to put Saturday night behind us. They put on a dominating performance. "It's one thing to have a team have more talent, but I don't think we showed up with the energy and competitive spirit, and that falls in my lap."
*** Thinks LSU has improved defensively over the last two weeks.
*** No time to hang heads or feel sorry for ourselves. Got another talented team coming in.
*** Thankful we are at home in Jordan-Hare.
*** Hugh says the kids need hard truths today, which he will hand out today.
*** On facing Ole Miss again: "I have a lot of friends there and I think appreciate the good things we did there."
*** Message to the team on getting them up for Ole Miss: "You are going to lose games in this conference and its only going to get harder. We're planning on winning a game Saturday night in Jordan-Hare. No need to talk about what we are playing for."
*** On Caleb Burton: "It's great you can honor kids sometimes because they are practicing the right way, they are acting the right way. It was exciting to see him get his first reps."
*** "Offensively, it's well documented, we've struggled to be consistent." Mentions they had four possessions where they could have cut the game to a one-score deficit. On three of those drives, "we found a way to kill those drives."
*** On giving Robby more reps? "We consider everything and everybody, so that will continue to be in our thoughts."
*** "I probably wouldn't be sitting here today if it wasn't for tempo or RPO, so it is uncomfortable for me to be not in that world. We are very, very thin. LSU and Ole Miss thrive in that kind of game. I just don't know ... it's not working the other way either. It's a struggle."
*** On evaluation of Payton: "It's not just the quarterback that makes the passing game go. It's the protection, it's running the right routes."
*** On Damari Alston: "It doesn't look good for Damari. Simpson wasn't 100 percent on Saturday night and hopefully he will get better and hopefully we will get good news on Keionte soon. Austin Keys got out of his cast and is getting closer."
*** "I think our team has competed hard in every game except for times the other night."
*** Similarities between LSU and Ole Miss on offense: "They go faster than LSU. Lane and Charlie, they want to go fast all the time. That's hard to prepare for, for sure."
That's all for Hugh. Have a great Monday.
