I've been thinking about the HC candidates. I'm pretty much agreeing with most top 3's list of Deion,Kiffin and Freeze. There's some other good options also. So, with Kiffin, he was my #1 option- you have to like his SEC experience, coaching in the south with lots of contacts. He has the ability to shred the portal and he's probably the best offensive mind in college football.
Then Deion, full of personality and probably will be able to out recruit most. He could possibly work the NIL to the max and when Prime shows up at these kids house to recruit them, who's gonna tell Prime no. Look at what he's done at Jackson State and it's crazy good, but the million dollar question is can he go toe to toe against the best. Who knows?
Lastly, Freeze has won everywhere he's been. He's got the coaching pedigree. He's proven it over and over. He just brings some baggage, maybe his is more than others. Do we give him a chance to prove he's put that behind him or do we let someone else give him that chance. He took a much less talented team on the road to Arkansas and beat them on their homecoming and let's remember he's the HC at Liberty, just in case you didn't hear me Liberty. This is the same Arky team that just recently showed us the door rather handily. As I watched the game tonight and I saw the athletic ability of Ashford and he is very raw, but think back to how Freeze coached a quarterback that Malzahn never gave a shot to and he's playing in the NFL his very first season. I think Freeze is hungry and I think if we choose him, he's with you for the long haul. We probably get him a lot cheaper than Lane and have more money to invest in a great staff.
After watching Caddy tonight, my hope is whoever we get for a HC that Caddy is a major part of that staff. War Eagle!
