I'm not young but I'm not quite an oulde, either. I started watching entire games in 1994, when I was 6 years old. Auburn fandom runs very, very deep in my family so I always watched my Uncle's VHS recordings of Auburn games from the 80's (and now I watch them on YouTube). So I've seen most of the games from the 1988-1989 season.
I guess my main question is how good of QB was Reggie Slack relative to the era in which he played. Passing games were much different back then and to be absolutely honest, the efficiency and execution of throwing the football effectively back then looks nothing like it does now. In fact, almost all teams looked kinda sloppy when throwing the football back then.
So ouldes, how good of a quarterback was Reggie Slack?
