Normally, you never really know what your going to get Week 1. The only real huge advantage a team has in an opener is if they return their QB while the other team doesn't. Jeremy has obviously played a good bit, but starting is different. I have no clue how good Louisville's QB is, but he better be really good if they want to win this game. As a matter of fact, he has to outplay JJ for them to have a chance. The Cards O Line will have a lot to do with how well he plays IMO. Boom believes in putting pressure on the QB, and will do whatever he deems necessary to achieve it. If Louisville's O Line is good enough stalemate Auburn's front four, then Boom will start blitzing and go man/man free on the back end. Blitzing will certainly be part of Boom's game plan, but he doesn't want to get into a situation where he feels like he has to, in order to get pressure on the QB. BP is the best in the business when it comes to calling plays against man coverage, so you certainly don't want to be forced into it all night long. BP makes life tough on defenses with all the formations he gives you (Especially 1 and 2 TE sets) , but players are usually what wins games. They will score some points because of BP, but how many will be determined mostly by their QB. I think we have better players than they do, and Boom will have a great game plan. I think they score anywhere from 17-24 pts.

Louisville's secondary, especially their safeties will have to play the game of their lives if they want to have a shot. Grantham is a solid DC, but does so much different stuff that he creates a feast or famine type defense. When you blitz as much as he does, you open yourself to a lot of play action and big play potential. They will catch us some for some negative plays, but we will catch them some as well. When we catch them, it will be for 6 pts. I think we will have a good game on the ground like we always do, but this is JJ's game. If he plays well, then its lights out. I can't imagine him not playing well. I would imagine Grantham is going to try and mimic Georgia's defensive game plan from last year, especially when he thinks we are going to run the ball. Gus will have an answer for what Pruitt did to us, and actually showed a good bit of that adjustment against Alabama last year. One thing I can guarantee you is that they will not have an answer for Duke. He should have a HUGE game. JJ will likely determine exactly how many points we score, but I would put it somewhere between 27-38. ( I know, really going out on a limb there)

Overall, we just simply have better players, the better QB, and a better overall coaching staff. Last August we practiced like we were getting ready to play flag football, and it showed. This August, we have prepared like we are getting ready to go to war. We have practiced VERY physical. I think we play our Asses off Saturday, and start our march toward the playoffs. JMO
