There are some out there that are looking to improve their health or know someone who is struggling with poor health. As one who reads a lot about various health conditions, I thought I'd give my opinion on what I've seen and read. The single best reference I've seen on health is a free e-book by Dr Amy Yasko. Dr Yasko has a PhD in molecular biology/immunology and infectious disease and has worked at the Yale Medical Center, Strong Memorial Hospital Cancer Center, Strong Memorial Pediatrics and Infectious Disease, and served as a neurological research consultant. I know of 67 research articles she has published in the scientific literature.
Her free e-book is called "Autism: Pathways to Recovery." The interesting part about this book is if you remove the word "Autism" and replaced it with just about any other health issue, you would learn about that health problem as well. It's a technical read and not for everyone, but if you have some medical or science background, you can follow it. I have it bound and have read it twice and I would still pick up something if I read it again. I've studied a lot of biochemistry and microbiology and she is on the cutting edge of those fields. She specializes in autism and genetics and there are a lot of biochemical processes going wrong in autism. It's like the far end on the difficult scale of what is going wrong at the cellular level.
The book is free, not for everyone, but an invaluable reference for someone who is looking for what is going wrong in an illness. She has a few video lectures on the net and you can buy her complete series of lectures. They're pretty good.

On a side note, suck it WDEngineer.
