Thoughts and prayers welcome, and RIP’s are well tolerated…(but if RIP does happen, I’ll probably haunt your attic).
Anybody else had this type of surgery? Just curious about others’ experiences with recovery/rehab on this type of procedure.
Doc calls it a “subtalar fusion.” Pretty much a 2 or 3 inch screw thru the back bottom of the heel that fuses the talus and calcaneus bones. Google pics give me the impression that I might need a Percocet or two. Also have a bone spur on inner portion of the ankle being removed. Looks like I’ll be at least 8-10 weeks on the sidelines. If all goes well, should be in a walking boot by the Cal game.
