actually better than I thought would be possible under the circumstances. I thought 1st game as a starter nerves, combined with bad O line and less than favorable weather would lead to a very mediocre performance at best.
I think he had one throw early inside the red zone that probably gets picked against an SEC corner and sure there was another throw or 2 that wasn’t on target but the kid really impressed me. I thought he looked under control, made very nice reads, was decisive and got rid of the ball, looked like he audibled once or twice maybe into an open play. More than anything he throws a really nice ball and I feel better about our QB positIon this morning than I have at any point since Thorne has been the guy.
We’re still a year or 2 away from being a good football team, but Hank looks like the real deal and that is at least somewhat comforting.
