Malzahn updates from Alabama State postgame press conference. Click refresh, will continue to update...

** Shout out to David Housel, missed 1st home game since 1964. Thinking about him.

** Got to play a bunch of young guys, which was needed. Only negative was four turnovers, but three were by freshmen.

** Daniel Thomas impact play on pick-6, big play on blocked punt for TD.

** Running game was better. Good to get back on track. Good to spread the carries around. Got to protect football better.

** Asa Martin is going to be a really good back. He'll do a better job of protecting football in the future.

** Anthony Schwartz made big plays. Just as fast in pads.

** Darius Slayton could have played, just a little banged up. Nothing too serious on Darrell Williams injury.

** Shaun Shivers has really impressed. Runs hard and is low to the ground.

** New redshirt rule factored into being able to play so many young players.

** Will Hastings and Eli Stove have been practicing full speed last two weeks. Wanted to get their feet wet tonight. Both made fast recoveries.

** Devan Barrett has been playing cornerback and going a couple of periods a day on offense. Doing well at CB.

** LSU is outstanding team. Will be traditional Auburn-LSU game.

** K.J. Britt has really raised his game.

** Backup OL did well. Didn't have any negative plays.

** Message to team for LSU week: It's always a good game. It's big for the West. Big game. We're going to get their best, they're going to get our best. Glad we're playing at home.

** Daniel Thomas is a football player. Two impact plays.

*****THAT'S ALL*****
