** Last three times that Gus Malzahn has coached against Mississippi State, it's come down to the last play. Expecting a great atmosphere.

** Dak Prescott is one of the nation's best. He's like a RB and his accuracy has been excellent. "He's very impressive when he runs between the tackles." WR's are very athletic.

** Nick Marshall is "light years ahead" of where he was when he played MSU last year. Still trying to figure out the offense and Marshall's strengths last year. Was a big one, first SEC win in over a year.

** On Marshall's late TD pass against MSU last year: "That's when we first saw he was special with the game on the line."

** Felt like MSU had one of the best defenses they faced last year and they have nine starters back. Very good on front seven, experienced on back end.

** Very important to get Sammie Coates back on track against LSU. "Now that Sammie's getting healthy, it's a good thing for us moving forward."

** Defense has played outstanding against some good offenses. Front has played physical, good against the run. "I've been very pleased with how well those guys have played."

** On Rhett Lashlee: Thought he was one of the best OC's in the country last year and feel the same this year.

** Simulating crowd noise in practice. Got any cowbell recordings? "We may."

** Jermaine Whitehead is still indefinitely suspended and won't be with the team this week.

** Patrick Miller is back at practice. "He's day to day, we'll see how the week goes."
